The Endeavor Band Program is available for students in grades 6-8 and provides many performance opportunities for the students within the surrounding community and the school’s student body. Performances within the surrounding community include The Lakeview Square Mall, Battle Creek Festival of Lights Parade, and other concerts for our military and government sites nearby.
Beginning Band starts in the 6th grade and is after school from 3:20 pm - 4:00 pm; Woodwinds on Mondays and Wednesdays, Brass on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Percussion on Thursdays and Fridays. This band performs 2-3 times a year and the fundamentals of instrumental music are the main focus points.
The 7th-8th grade band is for students who have had one or more years of band experience and meets Monday thru Friday 7:55 am - 8:25 am. The focus of this band is to continue the fundamentals of instrumental music and use them in a wide variety of music such as marches, overtures, programmatic music, sacred, jazz, and even some rock and pop music. This band performs several times a year both for the school and events in the surrounding community.
The 7th-8th grade band will be taking part of the MSBOA Band Festival for the second year and is very proud of our “Excellent” rating from last year. The 7th-8th grade band has sent students over the past 4 years to VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, IL for the annual Middle Level Band and Choir Honor Fest, and has also performed at Michigan’s Adventure.
The Endeavor Charter Academy’s band program provides a quality music program using the different styles in music; to further develop the skills of students in the instrumental music medium; challenges all students to look at music with an open mind; creates a safe environment for quality learning; encourages students to share their love for music with family, friends, and the community; provides unique performance opportunities to help each young musician grow in their skills that will follow them throughout their life of learning.

In 2009, Endeavor's band took a trip to Chicago to perfom at the Sears Tower. It was a great experience for all students, some of whom were traveling to the Wind City for the first time! Check out the pictures of their performance by clicking here.
